Goalpara English School is a premier English Medium Senior Secondary School of Goalpara District, was established in 1991 aiming at imparting quality education to the students. The first batch from the School appeared in the H.S.L.C Examination under SEBA in the year 1994 and recorded hundred percent (100%) success followed by uniform brilliant results till date. It is worth mentioning that four students from this School obtained position in the HSLC Examination and four students also secured highest marks in different subjects.

A Senior Secondary School with CBSE syllabus was a long felt necessary for the people of Goalpara and its peripheral area for offering due exposure to a national level syllabus and also to make the students will equipped for any national level of competition exams.

Thus upholding the viewpoints of the students, guardians and well wishers of the locality the management decided to convert the School into CBSE syllabus and accordingly started the process by filling up online application on 13/06/2006 to CBSE New Delhi. In this regard the management is indebted to Sri Pratik Hazela, I.A.S the then D. C of Goalpara rendered all possible help to convert the School from SEBA to CBSE for which he remembered by the authority for the days.

After constant effort by the management with Co-operation of the well wishers and the District Officials, Political dignitaries, the School finally had received composite affiliation from CBSE,New Delhi upto Class IX on 31/01/2009 and the President of the School M.C., Sri Jiten Das ,Vice President K.M. Akmal Hussain Secretary Istaque Ali and A.R. Saikia Principal in .presence of dignitaries of the M.C along with the faculty members, the students and Guest formally inaugurated the CBSE syllabus up to class IX April, 2009. The Management also proposed to upgrade the School to Senior Secondary level considering the recent change of the Education policy adopted by the Govt. of India. After completion of formalities and inspection of CBSE team the School received upgraded affiliation up to Sr. Secondary level vide order dated 23/02/2012 for the year with effect from 1st April 2012.

The Main objective of the School is to provide an education atmosphere which will help the students to cope with the modern world. Besides stirring for academic excellence a wide range activities are to enable the students to develop their creative talents. The School lays stress on imparting value education as it believes that it is important for the students to have a strong moral background to meet the challenges of life. Emphasis is also given to discipline, good bearing and polite conduct.

The present students community comprises of around 700 boys and girls. The age limit for the Pre-Primary section from 3years to 5 years, It includes from Nursery to Senior K.G.
